Paralegal The candidate's duties include: Assisting attorneys with the handling of cases during all phases of litigation; General case management, including case calendaring and managing deadlines, and managing case documents; Drafting and managing court filings, and assembling of exhibits and appendices; Scheduling depositions and other meetings with clients, witnesses, experts, opposing counsel, court reporters and others; Assisting with discovery, including with document collections, document reviews, and document productions; Conducting factual and legal research; Preparing for depositions, hearings, and trials. Interpersonal skills necessary in order to communicate with a diverse group of attorneys, staff, and clients and to provide information with ordinary courtesy, diplomacy and tact; and Demonstrated organizational, prioritization, and attention to detail skills to allow for timely, effective, and accurate performance of job duties. Must have working knowledge of the California court rules and procedures. Trial experience is preferred. Must be willing to work overtime as needed to meet business needs. A Bachelor's degree and/or a certificate of completion from a paralegal program and 3 years of litigation paralegal experience in California are required.
