Consumer Bankruptcy Case Manager-(Law Intake Paralegal / Inside Sales) Duties: Answering incoming phone calls, outbound follow-up and entering key information into the firm's CRM and case management tools. Schedule and conduct initial meetings with prospective clients and coordinate attorney consultation. Regular follow-up by phone, email and text and meet one-on-one with clients to obtain information and documentation necessary to file a bankruptcy or divorce petition, schedules and statements. Review and analyze tax returns, bank statements, pay stubs and other documentation necessary for data entry into our case management software. Input data into our software program in order to generate draft bankruptcy and family law petitions, schedules and statements for attorney review. Ascertain what documents and information are missing in order to complete the tasks referenced above. Assemble and scan the documents necessary for the post-filing submissions to bankruptcy trustees, opposing counsel, courts, etc. Coordinate and prepare attorneys for court hearings.
Requirements: An ideal candidate is a fast learner with strong computer, interpersonal, and organizational skills who seeks to gain or build upon experience and knowledge in the legal field. Phone etiquette and 1+ year of law firm experience. A paralegal or customer service/call center background. Able to communicate with claimants that are dealing with unfamiliar circumstances. Prior legal experience at a bankruptcy or family law firm, including meeting with clients and filing court petitions and schedules is a plus. We are seeking someone who is interested in a long-term career in the legal industry and specifically, with our law firm. Strong verbal and written communication skills, specifically spelling, grammar and diction. Pleasant and caring, professional phone voice. Strong active-listening skills. Strong computer skills. Sales experience a plus.
