Legal Assistant / Paralegal The candidate will handle daily interaction of clients which requires the ability to explain the status of their case and take appropriate action to resolve their issues. The successful candidate must have excellent phone skills, excellent oral/written communication & organizational skills. Fluency in Spanish is a plus.In addition, the ideal job applicant should have a college degree from an accredited college and have prior legal experience in Workers Compensation law. Should have prior administrative experience. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 1 year experience and have solid computer skills including MS Word & Excel. Experience with Time Matters or other case management software is a plus. Some of the job duties include the following: scheduling/calendaring, scheduling med-legal evaluations, new client intakes, filing documents on the parties and WCAB, submitting moving papers on the court, phone contact with clients, light reception duties, etc.
