Legal Secretary The candidate must have 5 + years of experience, exceptional communication and organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively within a group or independently. Strong litigation secretary with working knowledge of court rules and procedures is a requirement. Transactional and or wills/trusts/probate experience in addition to the foregoing is a plus. Candidate should be proficient in MS Word, Outlook and Excel and type a minimum of 65 words per minute with high accuracy. This candidate will be part of a small office, and will need to be a team player and able to handle whatever tasks are necessary to support the office. The candidate should be detail oriented and able to work well in a fast paced environment. Anticipated responsibilities, by way of example only, provide support to multiple lawyers, schedule and calendar meetings, conferences, hearings, mediations and a depositions for assigned attorneys, prepare and file legal documents and correspondence, electronic filing with courts, scanning and/or copying documents, conduct client conflict checks, keep files updated and organized, and other administrative tasks. Ability to speak Spanish is preferred but not required.
