Intellectual Property Paralegal The candidate will prepare documentation for patent applications, including Powers of Attorney, Oaths, and Information Disclosure Statements. E-file patent applications with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). Review and analyze communications from the USPTO. Draft correspondence and reporting emails/letters to clients, foreign associates and third-party vendors. Maintain accurate electronic filing and organizational systems with the highest regard for ease of use and timely retrieval of documents. Docket incoming and outgoing communications with the USPTO and foreign sources. Communicate professionally, productively, and efficiently with clients, contacts, attorneys, other paralegals, all other Firm workers, and all others. Perform general administrative tasks such as mailings, file retrieval, handling service payments, filing emails, etc. as needed. Assist with file transfers. Track and record time to ensure services provided are appropriately charged. Undergraduate degree and/or paralegal certificate is required. Should have 1-5 years of experience in a law firm or in-house legal department. Experience with NetDocuments, DocketTrak, Anaqua and/or Clarivate is a plus.
