Title : Patent Attorney

Patent Attorney Candidate will be responsible for evaluating the patentability of innovations, ?drafting patent applications, responding to office ?actions, performing research and ?analysis and providing guidance on a variety of patent and IP-?related issues primarily in the areas of biological and pharmaceutical sciences; work with our clients in the U.S., China and Taiwan utilizing both English and Chinese; provide advice on patent prosecution strategies to inventors and in-house IP counsels (U.S., Chinese and Taiwanese clients); discuss with inventors and in-house IP counsels (US, Chinese and Taiwanese clients) about inventions; draft patent applications; analyze and respond to office actions issued by both U.S. Patent & Trademark Office (USPTO) as well as foreign patent offices including primarily European Patent Office (EPO) and China Patent & Trademark Office (CPTO); providing advice in intellectual property litigations, including provide thorough factual and legal research and analysis in pleadings, memoranda, and other written documents; draft pleadings and other case documents; attend hearings and other case-related events; prepare documents in intellectual property transactions; participate in various aspects of patent infringement litigation related work; may also work on Section 337 Intellectual Property Infringement Investigation services as needed, manage matters from commencement to final resolution; competently and professionally communicate with clients and fellow as well as supervising attorneys. REQUIREMENT: JD degree and a Master's degree or a foreign equivalent degree in biological or pharmaceutical science. Must have and remain licensed to practice law in any jurisdiction of the U.S. Must have passed the patent bar examination. 3 years of experience. Experience should include patent prosecution, transaction and litigation related work in a law firm or ??technology company. Must be able to speak and write fluently in Chinese (Mandarin) on technical and legal matters.
