Legal Secretary The candidate will be drafting and formatting pleadings, correspondence, and other legal documents. Creating shells for discovery responses and preparing templates and forms. Filing documents with the court, using efiling systems or attorney services. Processing incoming and outgoing mail and faxes. Handling large volume of email internally and externally, communicating with clients, experts, counsel. Handle all trial, arbitration, and mediation preparation. Place subpoena orders for records. Organizing and updating electronic files in accordance with firm standards. Maintaining attorney and firm calendar, contacts, tasks, and reminders. Coordinating, scheduling and confirming meetings and appointments. Preparing files to be closed after conclusion of legal matter. Screening telephone calls and recording messages as needed. Adhering to firm's high standard of excellence. Required Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree and/or Paralegal certificate with 1-3 years relevant experience in civil litigation, preferably at a medical Malpractice or personal injury firm. Experience with E-File for all courts. Skills: Strong organizational, and communication skills, Microsoft Office suite, eCopy, Adobe & ability to E-File all courts. Experience with HotDocs automated forms and ProLaw is a plus.
