This mid size Orlando office maintains a full service civil law practice. The is organized into the following areas: litigation, health law, communications and media, employment and labor, tax, personal planning and employee benefits, securities and public offering, real estate, and business and corporate office. Legal Secretary The candidate will be responsible for: Drafting, editing, redlining, and proofreading practice-specific legal documents, forms, and correspondence relating to mergers & acquisitions and complex commercial transactions, such as purchase and sale agreements and related ancillary documents, corporate and LLC governing documents, joint venture documents, services agreements, commercial contracts, board resolutions, consents, opinions, and engagement letters. Assisting with organization in the corporate practice, such as preparing checklists, assembling closing binders for corporate transactions, and maintaining project management tracking charts. Working with clients on matter intake and set-up. Administrative support includes: transcribing dictation, maintaining multiple attorney calendars, coordinating travel arrangements, entering attorney time, billing, preparing expense reports, and organizing meetings. Maintaining effective filing system. Perform other duties as assigned. Software knowledge must include MS Office suite and ability to use contract template programs for document formatting and applying document schemes, Net Docs or other document management systems, and InTapp or other time entry systems. Must possess strong organizational skills. Experience supporting corporate transactional attorneys is a plus.
