Contract Part-Time Paralegal Candidate will for Family law attorney and draft pleadings. Will spot the issues, develop case strategy, help clients understand that strategy, and who knows how to assist the attorney in executing strategy in court. Will assist the attorney in communicating that strategy in well-written pleadings and motions and in well-articulated arguments. Will be assisting the attorney in court. Will be assisting the attorney in mediation. Qualifications: Must be an experienced paralegal who knows enough about family law, Experience in family law, or substantial knowledge of family law is a must-have. Ability to bill for time according to firm procedures, policies and goals. Able to demonstrate the ability to interact well with emotionally-charged people in emotionally-charged situations. Must be the kind of person who will take initiative to research and learn relevant law to complete tasks without being told what to do. Must be able to work independently to meet deadlines and use your time effectively and productively. Being comfortable with technology is essential to success. Must have: Strong written and verbal communication skills. Superior knowledge of Microsoft Word, MyCase, ProDoc and also be able to learn new software easily. Professional appearance and demeanor.
