Trademark Prosecution Paralegal The candidate will prepare and file U.S. trademark prosecution documents electronically with the USPTO including but not limited to: applications, office action responses, statements of use, extensions of time to file statements of use, etc. assignments and powers of attorneys. Prepare and file trademark maintenance and renewal documents and correspond with clients re same. Correspond with foreign counsel in connection with filings and prosecution and renewals of trademarks applications/registrations outside of the United States, including handling foreign renewals. Processing and arranging for payment of bills from foreign counsel. Prepare and Record ownership and change of name documents related to trademarks. Conduct due diligence on trademark portfolios. Prepare cost estimates for new filings, both US and foreign. Assist with monitoring attorney dockets and working with internal personnel to manage deadlines. Assist with sending clients routine communications related to the stages of prosecution. Record billable hours timely and accurately utilizing practice/firm billing protocols. Perform other duties as necessary to fully meet the requirements of the position based on practice/client needs. The candidate must have 2-5 years with at least 2 years of trademark prosecution related duties. Must have exceptional writing, editing, research, organizational, and analytical skills and attention to detail.
