Litigation Associate Attorney The candidate will manage cases with an emphasis on residential real estate litigation, mortgage, and transactional matters and protect the client's interest in litigation proceedings and general collection cases. Work from either the Firm's Honolulu, Hawaii, or San Diego, California office. Manage cases from inception to completion. Prepare analysis of the case and advise the client regarding strategies. Draft court pleadings, defense of motions. Attend court hearings, both telephonic and in person. Other duties and special projects as needed. The candidate must have a Bachelor's Degree and/or a Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school with 1 year of experience in the practice of law, preferably litigation, real estate, or mortgage law, admission to practice law in the state of Hawaii; excellent communication skills both verbal and written; the ability to interpret client systems; ability to manage and prioritize large caseloads; provide exceptional customer service to internal and external customers; Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner; conscientious with respect to work completion, deadlines, time management, and attendance; take initiative in face of obstacles and identifies what needs to be done and takes action; demonstrate commitment to the Firm's vision, mission, and core values; excellent problem solving and organizational skills; overall good work ethic and willingness to adapt to change. Must be analytical and detail-oriented, while working at a face pace and capable of multi-tasking; a team player and willing to help others in their department whenever necessary; proficient in software tools including but not limited to Word, Excel, Outlook, and the Internet.
