Trademark Paralegal The candidate works closely with attorneys in the firms Intellectual Property practice group in all phases of trademark clearance, prosecution and maintenance. The position reports to the Firms Human Resources Department and the head of the Trademark practice area. Prepare trademark applications. Assist in all phases of trademark prosecution and clearance support in the U.S. and working with foreign counsel world-wide. Maintain computerized records of trademark information through docket listings. Research, investigate and monitor trademark filings. Research, investigate and prepare reports for attorneys to assist in IP enforcement matters. Communicate directly with clients in a professional manner. Perform other duties as assigned. Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional work experience required. Should have 3+ years working in an Intellectual Property legal environment filing trademark applications. Solid understanding and knowledge of domestic trademarks and intellectual property, including docketing systems and/or other automated databases (CPI, IP Manager, IP Master, Pattsy, or CPA). Advanced proficiency in the areas of communication (both written and verbal). Paralegal certificate required. Highly proficient in Microsoft Office 2010, especially Word and Excel. Paralegal certificate.
