Trademark Paralegal The candidate will be responsible to provide legal support for documents and correspondence intensive U.S. and foreign trademark prosecution and enforcement practice. Prepare and manage US and foreign trademark prosecution filings, including applications, Office Action responses, and maintenance documents; collect and review evidence of use and other supporting materials; conduct and analyze trademark clearance searches and preliminary investigations; draft cease and desist letters; liaise with foreign associates regarding trademark prosecution and enforcement matters; prepare cost estimates. Interact with clients regarding prosecution and protection of trademarks in the U.S. and worldwide. Assist in maintaining and managing trademark docketing system and deadlines. Provide administrative assistance and support with calendaring and managing deadlines, maintaining e-files, processing foreign counsel invoices and other expenses, and client intake. The candidate must have 3 years trademark paralegal/legal assistance experience in a law firm setting. Solid knowledge of trademark processes and procedures with the USPTO, and experience with trademark clearance and international trademark matters required, knowledge and experience with TTAB proceedings is preferred. Trademark docketing experience is required. Should be tech savvy, proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe, and knowledge of trademark specific software/tools (Saegis, TESS). Experience with Apple/Mac is helpful.
