Litigation Paralegal The candidate will be responsible for administrative case management and litigation support. Will format briefs, pleadings and other legal documents. Do filing legal documents (e-filling skills are preferred). Correspond with clients. Conduct pre-claim investigation, legal research and initial case assessments. Draft pleadings, motions and appellate documents and file them with the court. Prepare privilege logs. Perform administrative duties (calendar hearings and deadlines, organize case files, manage logistics etc.). Maintain pleadings and discovery indexes. Organize exhibits, documents, evidence, briefs and appendices. Aid attorneys with interrogatories and other discovery requests. Gather relevant information from a variety of sources. Liaise between trial teams and internal/external third parties. Provide assistance with case settlements. Prepare exhibits to motions. Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills and the ability to work successfully with multiple team members, interacting with employees at all levels of the organization required. Will handle a variety of activities with attention to detail and quality, with the ability to follow through and follow up, and adapt to quickly meet changing deadlines and priorities. Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook. Ability to complete multiple tasks and a high volume of work on short deadlines and follow through on assigned tasks with limited supervision. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills required. High School diploma required. Paralegal associates degree or other relevant certification preferred. Prior litigation experience required. Experience with personal injury settlement procedures and Medicare reporting requirements required. Thompson s Serengeti Tracker software experience required. High school or equivalent required.
