Paralegal/Legal Assistant Responsibilities: Assist attorneys in preparing for depositions, hearings, trials, and conferences. Complete various administrative tasks, work on individual cases. Investigate the factual evidence of a case- collect, examine, and organize the evidence and other legal documents for attorney review and case preparation. Prepare exhibits, charts, and diagrams to display information. Draft and review legal court documents including pleadings, motions, affidavits, and subpoenas. Conduct legal research regulations, laws, and legal articles to assist with the preparation of reports, case files, and legal advice. Conduct routine discovery for assigned cases. Take ownership of files. Organize and track files for important case documents, including pleadings and discovery documents; Manage, organize, and maintain documents in paper or electronic filing systems. Communicate with clients, witnesses, lawyers, and outside vendors to schedule interviews, meetings, and depositions. File exhibits, briefs, appeals, and other legal documents with the court or opposing counsel. Qualifications: Must have 3-5 years of legal experience. Must be detail-oriented and highly organized. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and professional demeanor; strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook; the ability to work independently, manage small but complex workloads, and keep deadlines; strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills, as well as computer and technical knowledge.
