Legal Secretary - Transactional Responsibilities: Manage and coordinate calendars and travel schedules. Communicate clearly both in writing and verbally. Maintain a regular presence and regular working business hours at the office. Work with computer programs including Excel, Word, Outlook, Lexis/Nexis and PracticeMaster. Various administrative tasks. Some transcription of dictation. Qualifications: Bachelor s Degree preferred. Paralegal Certificate preferred. 5+ years experience required. Corporate transactional legal experience required. Experience representing Homeowners Associations and Common Interest Developments extremely helpful. Exceptional word processing skills. Ability to adapt to changing priorities and remain flexible under pressure to meet client and attorney needs with a positive attitude and composure. Manage a busy calendar and comply with strict deadlines. Strong initiative and problem solving skills. Impeccable attention to detail. Strong written and verbal communication skills a must. Strong organizational skills. Ability to interface with all levels of management and staff. Able to take initiative and anticipate what tasks need to be completed. Ability to understand and execute specific, detailed instructions. Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including occasional overtime is required. Must have outstanding technology aptitude and literacy, including but not limited to Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Pro, Interwoven (FileSite/WorkSite), and time tracking software. Must be able to organize and prioritize numerous tasks; follow directions and instructions; work independently or in a team, as needed; pay close attention to detail and provide work that is consistently error free. Type of 60+ WPM. Must be proficient in utilizing online resources and search engines.
