Senior Paralegal The candidate will be prepare legal documents, correspondence, and pleadings such as complaints, interrogatories, subpoenas, deposition notices, pretrial orders, legal briefs, and affidavits, under the supervision of a lawyer, Help lawyer prepare for trial by preparing and organizing exhibits, assisting with client meetings, filing motions, conducting research on legal articles, and organizing and coordinating witnesses, Review new file assignments, Conduct interviews with clients to gather information about their legal issues, Coordinate law office activity, including the drafting subpoenas and coordinating with process servers, Perform administrative duties such as answering phone calls and keeping our case filing system organized so all documents are readily accessible, May conduct fact gathering interviews with clients and/or witnesses, Perform legal research, Drafting and filing documents required for the bankruptcy process for chapter 7 and chapter 13 cases, Monitor case schedules, filing deadlines and office calendar/appointment, Request Medical Records, billing and accident reports, Communicate with opposing counsel, Court personnel, and other legal personnel, Knowledge of e-filing in Federal and State Court, Other office and administrative tasks assigned by attorney, Candidates must have completed an ABA-approved paralegal certificate program such as an Associate s degree or proprietary school program in paralegal studies, Bachelor s degree preferred, Completion of a nationally-accredited paralegal program strongly preferred, 3 years of experience in legal services under an attorney or lawyer in a law firm setting, Personal Injury Law, Civil Litigation Experience, Bankruptcy Law, Family Law, Excellent organizational skills, and time-management skills, Analytical skills and strong attention to detail, Ability to identify, prioritize and solve problems effectively regarding basic matters, Ability to exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information, Ability to collaborate and interact with all levels of personnel, Ability to interact extensively with clients.
