Senior Foreign Filing Paralegal - Intellectual Property The candidate will provide support to clients, attorneys, paralegals and secretaries in all aspects of intellectual property foreign filing and formalities and US National Stage Application filings. Prepare and submit patent filings in all foreign jurisdictions, including PCT, Paris Convention, and national phase filings. Use ePCT to prepare electronic international application packages and sometimes file directly with the International Bureau. Experience filing sequence listings a plus. Manage and track all aspects of foreign formalities associated with filing including obtaining notarized documents necessary to comply with country law requirements. Serve as the primary contact for foreign associates from first filing to request for examination. Prepare draft estimates for various stages of foreign prosecution from direct or PCT filing to Regional Validations stage. Knowledge of Global IP Estimator a plus. Manage large name change projects in multiple jurisdictions. Prepare letters to foreign associates outlining our clients instructions for both direct and national phase patent applications. Coordinate the status of transferred applications and notify foreign associates of bulk changes to the assignee, docket numbers and attorney assignments. Manage monthly annuity and other maintenance requirements to ensure clients IP rights are not unintentionally abandoned. Prepare and file disclosure documents in relevant co-pending applications and understand the rules of disclosure in foreign jurisdictions. Participate in docket checks for all pending patent matters to ensure all deadlines and data are accurately entered and met. Perform any and all other duties as necessary and as assigned by your supervisor for efficient functioning of the Department, Office and Firm. Bachelor's degree and 3+ years foreign filing experience is required.
