Legal Assistant/Paralegal The candidate will work directly with our attorney(s) and should possess excellent organization and communication skills, be able to work independently and be a team player. Will be intelligent, detail-oriented, and committed to excellence. Will be setting up and maintaining hard copy and electronic case files, case management, document review, managing calendars and tickler systems of the attorneys, and assisting in preparation for hearings and trials. Should preferably have an Associates' degree. Should preferably have 1 year of Litigation and Paralegal experience. Must be proficient in all aspects of Microsoft Office, able to draft routine correspondence and documents, and able to handle other duties as assigned. Must have experience working with criminal and civil matters, including familiarity with North Carolina Rules of Civil Procedure is required. Knowledge of the North Carolina Court Computer systems (ACIS/VCAP) is a plus. Should be intelligent, detail-oriented, and committed to excellence. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite is required, Adobe Acrobat Pro, and familiarity with billable hour time entry is a plus. Deadline: Monday, June 28, 2021, at noon.
