Intellectual Property Paralegal The candidate will docket, monitor, and maintain matters relating to patent, trademark, and copyright prosecution, including performing relevant research regarding processes and procedures in the IP field. Docket and manage incoming correspondence from domestic and foreign IP offices, clients, and foreign associates to ensure deadlines are recorded. Conduct preliminary patent and trademark searches and assist with the preparation of relevant opinions and reporting letters to clients. Frequent correspondence with clients and foreign associates to report and obtain important case status updates. Experience in intellectual property is preferred. Pay for the position will be based, in part, on experience level. Should have knowledge of the intellectual property field and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Should have proficiency in using software and technology including Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and legal/business research databases. Must be capable of simultaneously managing multiple tasks, projects, and workloads without persistent supervision and in a timely manner. Must be able to work in a team environment and possess excellent oral and written communication and analytical skills. Must be self-motivated and have superb organizational skills with special attention to detail.
