Legal Secretary Duties: Assisting attorneys with all aspects of litigation, including preparation of pleadings, discovery, court filings (state and federal) and file maintenance. Responsible for drafting/editing/proofreading of forms, documents and correspondence. Doing tables of authorities and marking tables of content; e-file on the various ECF and other filing platforms. Contact court clerks, and prepare courtesy copies when needed. Prepare hearing and exhibit binders for attorneys. Coordinate travel arrangements and prepare expense vouchers. Perform time and data entry as well as general file management according to the standards required by the firm. Manage multiple calendars, including heavy scheduling of meetings, hearings and conference calls. Organize meetings, events and trial logistics; order court reporters and audio-visual equipment. Conduct all aspects of the job with an appropriate level of confidentiality and sensitivity to client and firm data. Qualifications: A litigation legal secretary with 5+ years of experience. Must be comfortable in fast paced environment, must be detail oriented and be able to work with little supervision. Position Information: Must be proficient to advanced user of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Knowledge of iManage (or other similar document management system) is a plus.
