Biotech Paralegal The candidate will assist lawyers with the patent prosecution process the drafting, filing, and negotiating a patent with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) for the patent to be granted. Perform patent searches make sure the clients' idea is useful, novel, and non-obvious the three requirements an invention has to fulfill in order to receive a patent. Manage clients' patent applications file applications and documents with Federal Agencies and Courts. Monitor the patent application process correspond with the client and the USPTO, and organize all correspondence regarding the clients' patent applications. The candidate with a four-year degree in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry or related scientific discipline and with strong academic credentials are preferred. Previous work experience or paralegal certificate are a plus.
