Probate Paralegal The candidate should have 5 years or more experience required. Should have excellent written and verbal communication skills, work well with others, and are familiar with the basics of Microsoft Office (Windows, Word, Outlook, Excel). Tabs/PracticeMaster database knowledge is a plus. Will be interacting with current/potential clients, various agencies, offices and court staff. Answering the phone, making calls, returning calls. Scheduling appointments. Drafting and responding to emails and letters. Mailing correspondence and calculating postage. Conducting research to support legal documents/proceedings. Assisting with the drafting and reviewing of legal documents. Handling and safeguarding confidential records professionally and responsibly. Scanning, filing, photocopying, and faxing documents. Tracking and organizing activities in our practice management software. Recording and storing client information in PracticeMaster database. Doing Court filings and errands (e.g. Post Office, Courthouse, etc.). Previous experience as a paralegal in related practice areas preferable. Ability to follow up on tasks, calendaring, court hearings required. Ability to prioritize and multitask in a busy office required. Excellent written and verbal communication skills required. Deadline and detail-oriented required. Principled work ethic required. Microsoft skills necessary. Paralegal Certificate preferred. Spanish preferred.
