Part-time Nurse Paralegal The candidate will review and analyze medical records in personal injury cases. Review and analyze employment, criminal, and other records in personal injury cases. Manage record retrieval process. Alert attorneys when a case is deposition ready from a record retrieval/analysis standpoint. Summarize medical, employment, criminal, and other records into chronologies for use by attorneys for case evaluations, reports, and deposition/trial preparation. Identify and secure potential medical experts and collaborate with litigation paralegals regarding records to forward to experts. Interview potential witnesses. Translate healthcare language for attorneys and other staff. Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel. Excellent writing and verbal skills. Excellent organizational skills and a team player. Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Be proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Outlook, Excel). Be proficient in tracking billable time. Should have a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Must 3+ years in hospital/direct patient care. Trauma/neuro/critical care is a plus. Needs to be local, unless planning on moving here for this position. Legal experience is a plus - i.e. Legal Nurse Consultant. Must have a nursing degree and related experience.
