Legal Secretary The candidate will prepare correspondence and legal documents by typing, scanning, editing, formatting, creating PDF s, and proofreading documents. Convert and clean documents from other software applications. Perform document comparisons. Create mail merge documents. Transcribe documents from tape/CD/webcasts. Generate TOC s/TOA s. Prepare litigation binders. Perform internet research, as requested. Execute court filings, as requested. Maintain client management system. Maintain files and prepare for storage (FileTrail). Troubleshoot software issues. Input attorney time. Coordinate and process monthly client invoices. Make travel arrangements. Prepare check requests, expense and reimbursement forms. Open new client matters. Open, sort and distribute mail. Answer and screen telephone calls and take messages. Manage attorney calendars; schedule meetings and conference calls. Copy, fax, and file documents. Perform other duties as requested. High school diploma or equivalent is required. Prior legal secretarial experience is preferred.
