Paralegal/Legal Assistant Duties: General litigation support at all stages from intake through to trial, as well as research and drafting tasks as required. Assist attorneys with preparing litigation documents such as pleadings, discovery, and motions. Conduct legal research and factual investigations. Assist attorneys with preparations for court appearances, depositions and mediations. Create and maintain detailed and accurate calculations of damages. Maintain electronic case files. Conduct intake screening for potential new cases.
Qualifications: Associate degree in paralegal studies. Excellent communication & organizational skills. Experience using legal data base software. Strong research and report generating skills. Notary organizational is a plus. Prefer a college graduate who is interested in pursuing a legal career and/or is considering attending law school in the future. Experience working in a fast paced office environment, and must have strong organizational and communication skills. Exceptional attention to detail is crucial, as is the ability to independently manage a heavy workload.
