Paralegal / Legal Assistant Responsibilities: Manage daily workflow of department: Maintain real estate files during negotiation stages of transactions. Coordinate, proofread, assemble, notarize, organize and finalize legal documents for execution by various officers and levels of management. Prepare communications and related documents for real estate transactions. Perform and/or monitor all post-transaction deliveries or requirements. Ensure lease or construction management information is accurately entered into computer software programs. Update weekly and monthly project reports. Review and supervise change of Landlord entities in real estate records. Schedule appointment calendars, department and group meetings and conference calls. Screen phone calls, relay messages, open and sort mail, faxing, copy letters and documents, prepare wire transfers and check requisitions; make travel arrangements; prepare expense reports, attorney timesheets.
Requirements: Bachelor's Degree and/or Legal Assistant Certificate. 4-6 years' experience in a law firm or corporate legal environment. Experience in commercial real estate transactions, including experience with leasing, construction and development projects. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects without supervision. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
