Senior Paralegal - Trust & Estates Duties : The candidate shall prepare probate court documents such as petitions, orders, inventories, accounting and reports. You will draft revocable living trusts, trust amendments, trust restatements, trust funding memos, wills and codicils, durable powers of attorney for property, and advance health care directives. shall prepare the documents for execution. Shall be responsible for preparing deeds, preliminary change of ownership reports, and generally overseeing the transfers of real property. Shall handle the administration of trusts and estates. The work requires contact with clients, banks, investment firms, corporate and private fiduciaries, government agencies (e.g., Office of the County Recorder, Assessors Office, Probate Court etc.). Must have both oral and writing skills.
Requirements : The candidate shall have a Bachelor's degree and paralegal certificate. 8 years' experience in estate planning and/or trust administration in a law firm. Strong math skills and strong organizational and file management are required. Strong oral and written communication. Experience with preparing estate tax and gift tax returns and CA licensed notary public is preferred.
