Mergers & Acquisitions Paralegal The candidate will handle management of fast paced, team oriented and document intensive corporate merger and acquisition projects and voluminous workload for the department. Additional duties of this position include drafting corporate documents, assisting with corporate formations and managing client relationships through email or phone communication. This position focuses on meeting tight deadlines and is a great opportunity for a paralegal with real estate, mergers & acquisitions, and/or corporate law experience who wants to grow in their career. The legal experience that is preferred includes 2-4 years of business transactions of all types, including the buying and selling of companies, assets and real estate, formation of legal entities (corporations, limited liability companies and partnerships), legal entity compliance and maintenance, complex business contracts, business succession plans, buy-sell agreements and buy-out agreements, corporate and partnership dissolutions. Previous experience with closing deals is preferred. Qualified applicants should have exceptional organizational and computer/word processing skills, the ability to independently multitask with ease and manage several merger and acquisitions projects at one time, with approximately three to four closings per month. Individuals with experience from the mortgage banking, escrow and title industries with similar fast-paced closing skills will be strongly considered. Experience with dictation or transcription and typing speed of 60-70 wpm is preferred.
