Senior Intellectual Property Paralegal The candidate will be responsible to prepare and file documents relating to U.S. and foreign patent and trademark prosecution and maintenance; in particular, applications, office action responses, statements of use, renewal applications, declarations, affidavits of use, and POA s. Effectively maintain client s domestic and foreign patent and trademark portfolios, including docketing new cases and maintaining internal files. Successfully perform trademark clearance searches using electronic and online search tools. Provide exceptional oral and written communication to client and foreign associates and coordinate with foreign patent and trademark associates in order to complete foreign filing requirements. Conduct relevant research of patent filings and log pertinent information using specialized computer database for timely reminders and docket and monitor due dates for all patent and trademark matters. Assist IP Attorney with accurate preparation of legal documents and filings, and correspondence using excellent writing and accurate proofreading skills. Demonstrate organization, follow through, and detail-oriented skills. Provide and manage administrative tasks such as email correspondence, calendar management, and attorney time entry. The candidate should have Bachelor's Degree with 5+ years prior experience in Intellectual Property and Patent Law supporting attorneys whose practice focuses on Intellectual Property. Possess knowledge of USPTO procedures and filings (PAIR). Should have understanding of PCT and general foreign patent prosecution procedures with strong accurate computer skills and proficiency in computerized docketing systems and MS Office. Should have excellent oral and written communication skills required for preparation and drafting of legal documents.
