Junior Paralegal The candidate will be preparing initial drafts of Trusts, Petitions, proposed Orders, Declarations, Supplements in response to Probate Notes, Notices to Government Agencies, Receipts, cover letters, and other documents. Mail-serving notice and pleadings. Checking Probate notes. Filing documents with the Court, including e-filing. Scheduling court appearances and preparing case files for hearings. Communicating with clients, other law firms, trustees, settlement brokers, financial advisors, bond companies, court clerks, and other personnel. Possess a foundational understanding of California Rules of Court and Local Rules of Court. Calendaring and maintaining databases. Answering phones, scheduling meetings, and conference calls handling new client intakes, and assisting with other administrative tasks in the office. An associate or bachelor's degree is required. Should have experience working as a paralegal. Experience in a law firm working on court cases, including the areas of civil, probate, and/or family law is required. Paralegal certification or qualification as a paralegal under California Business Professions code 6450 is required. A California Notary Public License is required. Exceptional computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel (knowledge of Actionstep is a plus.), are required.
