Insurance Defense Legal Secretary The candidate's responsibilities include case management, preparing legal documents, calendaring deadlines and scheduling meetings, transcribing dictation, managing attorney's calendar and workflow, and performing electronic filing. Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience with a background in insurance defense, must be very detail oriented, and have outstanding written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to work well with a team or independently. This is a great opportunity to join a family-oriented firm with a great work-life balance. Must have 5+ years of legal secretary experience with a background in civil defense litigation and 5+ years of legal transcription experience; Should have proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, Excel and Adobe Acrobat; Must have knowledge of State and Federal Court Rules of Civil Procedure; Should have experience preparing basic legal documents and pleadings; Associate (Required). Experience of 2 years (Preferred).
