Part-time Workers' Compensation Paralegal The candidate will work alongside attorneys and other paralegals, assisting individuals who have been injured on the job file and pursue claims for workers compensation. Essential Functions. Electronic filing of claims and appeals. Handle correspondence with claimants, medical offices and agencies. Extensive phone contact with agencies, clients and medical providers. Prepare case for hearings. Assist attorneys with post hearing follow up. Other duties as assigned. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Should preferably have 1 year of Paralegal experience. knowledge of PC applications, Windows, Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) is a plus. Should preferably have a strong attention to detail and great attention to detail. Strong customer service background and a desire to help individuals going through a difficult time in their life is needed. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are needed.
