Law Firm is seeking a Paralegal - Litigation in Tucson, AZ Law Firm is a premier law firm in Tucson, Arizona with a long history of providing their clients with quality legal services. They have an immediate opening for a full-time paralegal in their Tucson office. The ideal candidate will have current experience with electronic record systems, internet legal research, and reviewing and summarizing records and files. Job Description The Paralegal - Litigation will be responsible for providing legal assistance and support to attorneys in the Litigation practice group. This includes drafting pleadings and other legal documents, correspondence, and exhibits; preparing legal memoranda and cite-checking; gathering facts, documents, and evidence; conducting document searches; preparing materials for oral arguments; preparing for trials; and performing administrative functions. Salary and Benefits Law Firm offers a competitive compensation and benefits package including 12 paid holidays. The salary range for this position is $60K - $85K annually. Qualifications Bachelor's degree or paralegal certificate preferred with minimum 3-5 years litigation paralegal experience. Understands complex legal concepts and terminology. Knowledge of the rules regulating paralegals/legal assistants. In-depth knowledge of Arizona court rules and procedures, and the skills to find and understand those in other jurisdictions. Knowledge of Arizona ECF and AZTurboCourt efiling systems, and the ability to learn efiling systems in other jurisdictions. Ability to perform legal research using LexisNexis or Westlaw. Ability to draft pleadings and discovery. Ability to work independently, organize and prioritize workload, and adapt to changing priorities. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Ability to perform under tight deadlines and maintain patience in high pressure situations. Strong working knowledge of advanced functions of Microsoft Office (including Word, Outlook and Excel) and Adobe. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Excellent interpersonal, organizational, planning, verbal and written communication skills. Must manage highly confidential information with professionalism and unquestionable integrity.
