Bilingual (Spanish/English) Civil Litigation Paralegal The candidate will be handling telephone calls, scanning documents, data entry, and filing. Scheduling and conducting new client intakes. Maintaining client files. Drafting and handling correspondence and email. Open claims with insurance companies, health insurance subrogation departments, and Medi-Cal, and Medicare. Request police reports and medical records. Schedule doctor appointments and transportation for clients. Verify balances with providers. Prepare files for handing attorney. Drafting discovery requests and answers. The candidate should have at least two(2) years prior civil litigation law firm experience. Must have experience with client contact, medical record and police report requests, scheduling medical appointments, resolving PD and loss of use, reporting claims to Medi-Cal and Medi-Care for lien resolution, preparing files for demand and quality client care. Must also be willing to learn immigration law basics to assist with applications. Excellent bilingual (English and Spanish) writing and oral communication skills, including grammar, spelling, and punctuation. Proficient with computers and in Microsoft Office and Google Suite. Ability to work independently and as a member of a team. Ability to take initiative, set priorities, and see projects through to completion. Strong organizational and time management skills. Detail oriented, motivated, ambitious, and positive attitude. Ability to multitask. Must be willing to undergo a background check.
