Business Immigration Specialist (Senior Paralegal) Duties: Research and prepare most of the entire range of IV and NIV case categories including Schedule A Group II and priority green cards, elicit information from clients and develop first draft of Job Basics in connection with PERM labor certifications, develop Job Basics, pre-recruitment due diligence (prevailing wage, Equity Analysis), recruitment phase, and resume review for multiple PERM cases, Issue-spot and present potential benefits and disadvantages of various options, research and apply regulations and case law with minimal attorney oversight, understand I-9 compliance issues, and write persuasive first drafts of sophisticated documents such as O-1 petitions, Aliens of Extraordinary Ability, Outstanding Researcher cases, as well as first drafts of complex DOL audit responses and complex RFEs for filing with the USCIS. From a case and client management perspective, should be able to: effectively manage client relationships for high-volume clients with minimal attorney oversight, explain sophisticated immigration concepts and present strategic solutions for clients, and manage complex projects under tight deadlines. From a teamwork perspective, a successful candidate should be able to: lead peers and junior teammates in the support of a client account team and in the completion of projects, train and regularly mentor junior team members, defuse conflicts and address complex and challenging dialogues in a non-judgmental, consensus building fashion. Qualifications: A Bachelor's degree and have 10+ years of immigration-specific experience. Multi-task in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, navigate complex technology platforms efficiently (ImmSTAR, HotDocs, Excel), communicate effectively in writing and verbally, as appropriate for the needs of the audience (clients, governmental agencies, internal and external resources), use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, and approaches to problems, demonstrate strong time management and organizational skills, and thrive in a team-oriented environment.
