Title : Paralegal

Paralegal The candidate will assist with Title files. Will also update client and internal operating systems, coordinate filings and service of pleadings. Will perform title curative work (title litigation and transactional), assists mortgage servicers with the title resolution process. Will review and summarize legal documents, perform factual research and prepare pre-litigation reports. Will work closely with the managing attorney and other related departments within the firm to coordinate efforts on associated files. The candidate should have knowledge of legal practices and procedures with a minimum of 3 years experience in the civil litigation environment, preferably creditors rights. College degree required. JD preferred but not required. Must have at least one year of legal experience. Familiarity with legal and/or mortgage databases. Must have basic working knowledge of plaintiff civil litigation practice A" drafting summons, complaints, defaults, prove up packages and judgments. Computer proficiency including Microsoft Office with Word and Excel is necessary. Strong skill set with learning new computer software. Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines while working in a fast paced and frequently changing environment. Attention to detail, excellent organization, time management skills, verbal and written communication and strong customer interface skills.
