Real Estate Paralegal The Law Offices of Randall L Perry, PLLC, a Winston-Salem based Law Firm specializing in Residential Real Estate Law, is hiring for a Real Estate Paralegal position. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience in a law firm handling residential real estate closings. The new hire will be responsible for the pre-closing and post-closing responsibilities of each file, including working with Realtors and lenders to complete Closing Disclosures, and preparation of the loan package for closing. Post-Closing responsibilities will include obtaining funding approval, preparing documents for recording, and preparing loan package for return to lender. Job Duties: Preparing and Revising CDs and HUDs for Closing Managing Contract and Loan Changes Securing Invoices for Closing Obtaining Loan Payoffs and HOA Statements Preparing Loan Packages for Closing Reviewing All Documents for Accuracy Obtaining Funding Approval from Lenders Preparing Documents for Electronic Recording Preparing Loan Packages for Return to Lenders Communicating with Clients and Third Parties Assisting Other Office Staff in Addressing Client Needs Preferred Experience: 2+ Years of Experience in a Law Firm Handling Residential Real Estate Closings Experience using SoftPro to Create HUDs and CDs Experience using Simplifile Electronic Recording System Experience with Basic Title Search Functions (Looking up Deeds, Verifying Taxes) Experience with Microsoft-based Software Programs (Word, Excel) Additional Qualifications: Must be a Self-starter able to Work with Minimal Supervision Attention to Detail is Paramount. Proofreading and Document Review Skills must be Excellent Must be able to maintain a Professional Attitude and Demeanor under the stresses and rigor that can accompany a real estate law practice Must be a Notary Public or obtain Notary commission after hiring. Employer covers all costs of obtaining and/or maintaining Notary status, including fees and seal Occasional light lifting (less than 50 lbs) required. Compensation: is offering a competitive salary for the Real Estate Paralegal position. Salary is based on experience and there is potential for quarterly bonuses in addition to the base salary.
