# Paralegal Job Opportunity at Doyen Sebesta & Poelma Law Firm Doyen Sebesta & Poelma Law Firm is looking for an experienced paralegal to join their team in north Houston. The successful candidate should possess 2+ years of recent paralegal experience, preferably on a high volume docket. This position requires the ability to work with minimal supervision and maintain organization of a high volume docket. ## Job Description The successful candidate will be responsible for the following: * Analyze documents and perform first privilege review * Perform legal and factual research to facilitate case progress * Monitor critical deadlines * Draft pleadings and discovery * Request records * Maintain deposition, mediation/arbitration and trial notebooks in accordance with attorney requests * Keep clients updated with incoming/outgoing pleadings and discovery * Interact with various courts, opposing counsel, clients and experts as necessary to facilitate case progress * Maintain data in case management system * Guide attorneys and legal assistant to maintain docket work flow and meet deadlines * eFile documents in State/Federal courts * Enter time and meet expected billable hours/month (average around 140 hours/month - knowledge of UTBMS coding is preferred) ## Mandatory Requirements * 2+ years of recent experience in a Texas litigation firm as a Paralegal * Knowledge of court procedures/processes - State and Federal * Strong work ethic and time management skills * Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus ## Salary and Benefits The salary range is $52-65K to start depending on experience. Benefits include health, dental, and vision insurance; 401k with employer matching; generous performance-based bonus; and paid time off. Casual dress and work environment.
