Paralegal Assistant RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide assistance to attorneys and paralegals in the firms Banking & Finance practice specialty center. Prepare closing binders; organize and assemble supporting documents; ensure all necessary documentation is included; verify required signatures are present; coordinate exhibits, etc. Review and verify corporate documentation. Prepare and manage pre and post-closing checklists. Coordinate closing matters with internal working group, client, opposing counsel and title company. Prepare and file recordable instruments. Assist with review of title and survey matters. Create, maintain, and organize files; prepare such files for closing. Upload documents to the system and send CDs and related documents to client and other related parties. Act as point of contact for client questions/concerns related to closing binders. Meet annual billable hour requirement of 1,000 hours. Perform other duties as assigned. REQUIREMENTS: High School Diploma or GED required. Associate's degree or Paralegal certificate preferred. Familiar with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Excellent organizational skills. Strong attention to detail. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to prioritize workflow and manage time effectively. Ability to deliver superior service to all internal and external customers and communicate effectively. Ability to interact in a professional and courteous manner with clients and employees at all times; professional appearance required. Ability to successfully perform position requirements with excellent organizational, time-management and prioritization skills required. Ability to work collaboratively within a team; ability and willingness to adapt to changing business demands. Ability to produce acceptable amount of work efficiently and accurately; ability to produce quality final work product. Ability to exercise good judgment at all times by making sound and practical decisions; ability to assume responsibility for decisions and act decisively under deadlines. High level of professional integrity required; ability to maintain confidentiality and build trust. Ability to lead and motivate the work of others; when applicable, ability to successfully manage direct report(s), including performance evaluation, goal-setting, employee development and problem-solving.
