Legal Secretary - Employee Benefits/ERISA Duties: Document production to include organizing, drafting, formatting, inputting, editing, proofreading, retrieving, copying, scanning, transmitting and printing legal documents and other correspondence. Track all ECF/filing credentials and update them as new cases are filed, and provide assistance with ECF filings as needed that occur during normal business hours. Prepare and enter attorney reimbursable expenses; prepare invoices and track payments. Enter and post attorney time. Arrange, coordinate, and organize travel, client conferences, and meetings. Answer phones, addressing incoming calls, taking notes/messages or redirect calls when appropriate. Maintain attorneys calendar, appointments, and meetings to maintain deadlines, multiple agendas and provide timely reminders. Review and prepare incoming and outgoing mail accordingly. Perform any additional related administrative functions as needed. Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent. Must have 3-years prior legal administrative/secretarial or paralegal experience in a law firm environment . Prior Litigation experience preferred. Intermediate to advanced experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint). Experience with Chrome River, Aderant, and FileSite, preferred. Typing proficiency (at least fifty words per minute with high accuracy). Ability to work overtime as needed. Ability to perform job responsibilities independently, while being a team player. Have a strong work ethic and sense of professionalism and discretion, demonstrating accountability, integrity, good judgment and respect for confidentiality. Willingness to assist whenever necessary to meet deadlines and improve workflow for the attorneys in the group. Must adhere to legal, professional and ethical codes with respect to confidentiality and privacy. Adept at establishing and maintaining effective working relationships; engage effectively with all levels of employees and management across the Firm. Be highly analytical, with excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Possesses strong organizational skills and the ability to perform well under pressure.
