Associates are allowed to choose the practice areas and specific assignments that interest them, and they will be challenged with responsibility and client contact.
Heath Law Legal Secretary The candidate will support attorneys in connection with all aspects of case management in Health Law. Assemble regulatory filings, type, proofread and finalize legal documents, correspondence, memos, charts, handwriting or existing documents, as directed by assigned legal staff sometimes under short deadlines. Maintain files or legal documents, memos, reports, addresses as per firm policy or instructions from legal staff. Copy a large volume of documents, memos, reports, and other materials as required. Open client matters and other files. Responsible for revising and editing attorney PowerPoints. Maintain and enter time charges into billing system as required. Update calendars, assist with travel arrangements, schedule meetings and conferences. Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Minimum of 3 years of legal secretary experience preferred. Ability to quickly learn practice area including health care-related terminology. Maintain a high level of confidentiality both with internal and external documents. Exceptional technical skills required including knowledge of MS Word and Adobe Professional. Must have strong organizational, communication and client service skills. Must be detailed oriented, excellent proofreading, grammar and spelling skills and the ability to multi-task are essential.
