Paralegal The candidate will manage and work within the litigation deadlines. Calendaring deadlines and scheduling orders. Schedule meetings, court depositions, hearings, and other conferences. Professionally communicate and schedule meetings with clients or opposing counsel. Filing legal documents in state and federal filing systems. Preparing drafts of legal documents for an attorney to review. Organize our case filing systems to ensure all documents are properly sorted and easy to locate, and other administrative duties as needed. Previous experience in the personal injury closing department with knowledge of health insurance, Medicare, Medicaid and other liens. Preparing and sending out reduction requests to medical providers and doing related tasks, as part of closing clients' personal injury cases. Previous medical records/billing experience is also a plus. Should have 3-5 years of previous experience as a legal secretary/paralegal. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are needed. Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to multi-task are needed. Medical terminology is a plus. Strong organizational and time management skills are needed. Strong work ethic and ability to work in a fast-paced environment is needed.
