Legal Secretary Responsibilities: Word processing/document production, printing and scanning of documents. Coordination of work production including interaction with other departments. Monitoring e-mails, faxes and mail, photocopying and filing. Recording attorney timekeeping. Process billing as needed. Making travel arrangements. Working with the records department when storing or recalling stored files. Update attorneys regarding receipt and status of tasks and consistently meeting agreed upon deadlines. Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent required, some college preferred, BA a plus. Previous experience in a legal environment highly preferred. Expert word processing skills (MicroSoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio). Ability to multi-task effectively. Must be flexible and calm in a highly stressful work environment. Must work well in collaboration with others. Able to communicate professionally with legal and departmental staff and clients. Must be deadline oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills. Exhibit a highly professional approach when responding to requests and demonstrated ability to provide quality customer service support.
