Trial Paralegal The candidate will be a lead paralegal going to trial, including all expert workup and familiarity with the relevant local and chamber rules for trial preparation in a multi-jurisdictional trial practice. Responsible for 12-15 high-value cases. The candidate should have a Bachelor's degree. 5+ years experience in Civil Litigation. Familiar with working up cases from beginning to end. Familiar with California Code of Civil Procedure (CCP) and calendaring requirements. Responsible for court filings, document management and review, propounding and responding to discovery, noticing depositions and similar matters. Must have strong research and writing skills. Ability to draft client and opposing counsel correspondence, pleadings, and legal documents under attorney supervision. Proficient in Adobe, Excel, Microsoft Office, Outlook. Familiar with law programs such as Sharefile, PACER, MDL Centrality, Lexis, Smart Advocate. Ability to interface with clients to develop a good working relationship, monitor treatment, propound, and respond to discovery, interface with experts and essentially be a third chair A? for trial. Ability to work with referring lawyers and collaborating with one another.
