Litigation Paralegal The candidate will join personal injury law firm. Will be accurately Drafting Petitions, Answers, Discovery, Motions, Demands, and other legal documents as needed. Prepare cases for the litigation process, such as scheduling deadlines, hearing, and trial dates. Calendaring hearing, depositions and mediations. File the appropriate documents with the court and serve the opposing parties. Assist the attorney with case management and trial as needed. Continually communicate and comfortable talking with clients, courts, opposing counsel, experts and mediators. Sorting, scanning, renaming, saving and distributing litigation mail and faxes. Audit cases for all expenses (medical bills, case expenses, LOP providers, subro liens). Negotiate with providers and lien holders to dispute charges or obtain reduction. Accurately maintain case management data in Salesforce (case management database). Prepare trial documents and assist with trial preparation. Know how to e-file and e-serve documents. Know how to request and order medical records and affidavits. Should have 3-5 years experience as a Litigation Paralegal. Paralegal certificate highly preferred. Must have 2-3 years experience with Litigation in Personal Injury firm. Must be proficient in personal injury law involving motor vehicle accidents. Must be proficient in preparing discovery responses. Should have working knowledge of common deadlines and protocols of personal injury litigation. Must have strong in computer skills and written and verbal communication.
