Junior Paralegal Duties: Oversight of written civil discovery process, file organization, and issuance of subpoenas. Organization of records obtained in response to subpoenas, and summarization of records - including a detailed chronological summary of voluminous medical records. Coordination of delivery of records to various interested parties including co-counsel and experts. Management of projects with attorneys, legal assistants, and experts. Provide case management and organization from inception; discovery, trial, and post-trial support. Review and analyze documents for production. Timekeeping with documentation of tasks performed. Prepare and draft legal documents such as briefs, pleadings, discovery, record summaries, and subpoenas.
Qualifications: A certificate of completion of a paralegal program approved by the American Bar Association or an affidavit of prior paralegal experience is a must. Excellent communication and organization abilities. Strong research skills. Should have organization skills, succinct and accurate writing, proactive document handling, clear communication, and a positive can-do attitude.
