Legal Secretary The candidate will provide administrative support to multiple attorneys in both the litigation and claims management groups.Type, edit, file and compose correspondence, including letters and legal memoranda, discovery responses, answers to complaints, demands and other related legal documents. Transcribe dictation and/or edits handwritten documents. Prepare and proofread appeals, motions and other court filings, including all required tables. E-file documents with state and federal court systems. Prepare conflict checks and follow procedure for the opening of files, Assist attorneys with case budgets. Input attorney time. Prepare check requests and expense reports. Open, read, and direct all incoming mail. Perform other duties as requested or assigned. Should have proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook). Should have strong administrative and organizational skills; ability to prioritize tasks and juggle multiple priorities. Should have working knowledge and experience in e-filing in both state and federal court systems. Should have 5+ years of experience as a legal secretary. High school diploma required. College degree preferred. Should have understanding of law office policies and legal documentation requirements.
