Paralegal-Institutional Response RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist in conducting investigations and preparing investigative and audit reports (including attending and documenting interviews and meetings, proofing reports, preparing and organizing exhibits). Prepare and organize initial documentation to initiate new matters. Matter file management (create, organize, track and maintain files; monitor calendars and meeting deadlines; document actions; input information into file database and case management software) Support counsel with discovery in regulatory actions including creating privilege logs, assisting in drafting memoranda, gathering documents, organizing evidence, preparing exhibits, scheduling witnesses, ensuring that witnesses are ready when needed. Establish and maintain strong communications with clients, outside counsel, internal partners, regulators, witnesses, etc.; Develop and support client relationships by serving as the clients practice group point person, ensuring timely and thorough follow-up on client-facing matters. Perform factual research and investigation addressing various issues; Substantive research for use in client reports. Conduct moderately complex research on LEXIS, Westlaw and other online computer assisted research databases. Review of case files to produce tracking sheets and working chronologies. Possess organizational skills to assist Title IX offices develop systems to document and maintain records; Clery review of Title IX cases. Large volume data/document review: Assisting with tracking data that is received and/or produced including tracking case and client requests and status. Assisting with compiling chronologies, witness, issue, and evidentiary charts. Management of client project documents (organization, review, synthesis, etc.). Creating charts or other visual aids. Create and maintain a central deck of training and presentation materials.Staff firm-sponsored tables to discuss practice group offerings to attendees at conferences. Assist in group project management. Assist with writing/synthesizing efforts on client engagements. Qualifications: A four year Bachelor's degree and/or paralegal certificate required. Should have strong communication (written and oral), organizational and interpersonal skills; experience handling complex matters; the ability to prioritize and balance a variety of tasks; and thrive in a fast-paced, high intensity environment. Proficiency in Relativity, LiveNote, Case/Time Map, Summation, Adobe Acrobat, and Trial Director desirable. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint: Possess excellent proofreading skills. Strengths include: attention to detail, organization, writing, and communication and people skills.
