Legal Secretary The candidate requires exceptional administrative, communication and organizational skills. The candidate should have previous experience in assisting attorneys with trial preparation, document management, calendaring, preparing and submitting conflict checks, and organization of trial binders. The candidate must have experience with electronic filing in state and federal courts. The candidate must also have the ability to perform general administrative support and other legal tasks, including the greeting of visitors, answering the phone, assisting with travel arrangements, scheduling meetings, preparation of expense reports and check requests, operating general office and photocopier equipment, and assist with back-up reception duties. Should have 5 years of litigation experience. Products liability experience preferred. Knowledge of court procedures and rules in Louisiana State Courts, Federal Court and CDC. Exceptional electronic and traditional file management skills. Filing must be maintained daily. Demonstrated ability to multi-task and problem solve under time-sensitive deadlines. Proficient with drafting of routine letters and other documents. Advanced skills in Microsoft Word and intermediate knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint required. Some experience in billing clients and working with pre-bills preferred.
